Quick poker math

Pot Odds Calculator

Pot odds are basically the price you’re getting on a call. Type in the pot, the bet you have to call, and your rough chance of winning if you want to compare the math.

This is not a magic answer button. It just helps you see the price of the call faster.

What’s already in the middle before you act.
The amount you’d put in to stay in the hand.
A rough guess is fine. Leave it blank to just see the price.

Poker involves risk. Use this as a learning tool, not a reason to chase hands or play money you cannot afford to lose.

How this works

Two quick bits of math. Final pot is just the current pot plus the bet you call. Break-even equity is the call divided by that final pot — the share of the time you need to win for the call to be even money.

Say the pot is $100 and it’s $25 to call. The final pot is $125, and $25 / $125 is 20%. So if you win this hand more than about 20% of the time, the call pays for itself over the long run. Want the full walkthrough? I broke it all down in Pot Odds Explained.
